About Me | YOUnity Wellness
Welcome. I’m Christie Cheney, Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of YOUnity Wellness—a space devoted to helping you reconnect with your whole self: mind, body, and spirit.
My practice is rooted in the belief that healing begins with presence. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and intentional movement to support clients in cultivating clarity, compassion, and emotional resilience.
What I Offer
In each session, we explore what brought you here—gently unraveling thought patterns, emotional wounds, and stories that shape your inner world. Together, we pause. We breathe. We observe. With growing awareness, you’ll learn to respond with intention rather than react from old habits.
Sometimes, life pulls us so far from the present moment that we lose sight of what’s truly unfolding. Therapy becomes a sacred space to return—to yourself, to your breath, to what’s real right now.
I may ask:
What is happening in this moment?
Can you stay with it, breathe into it, befriend it?
Can you meet yourself with gentleness, even here?
Your journey begins with presence—and from there, healing unfolds.
Movement as Medicine
I believe the body holds wisdom. That’s why my approach includes conversations about movement, physical care, and embodied self-compassion.
I’ll invite you to reflect:
How are you caring for your physical self?
What does movement look like in your daily life?
Can you move with love, not punishment—with curiosity, not rigidity?
Healing is not just mental or emotional—it’s physical, too. I support you in building a relationship with your body that feels nourishing, sustainable, and kind.
My Commitment to You
YOUnity Wellness is more than a name—it’s a philosophy. I’m here to help you reconnect with your Best Self, both inside and outside the therapy room. My work is guided by compassion, curiosity, and the belief that you already hold the wisdom you need to heal.
Therapy doesn’t end when the session does. It lives in your breath, your boundaries, your movement, your choices. I’m here to walk beside you as you learn to live with more clarity, courage, and care.
